This pendant comes with 3 different types of gold chains to choose from.

The first is the Small Box which is 0.5mm wide and has a spring ring clasp and is shown photographed with the pendant above. This is similar to one of those "free" chains many pendants come with. It's not the most durable, but if you're giving a pendant to someone and just want them to be able to wear it right away and think they may have more chains at home, or they are gentle with their jewelry, this chain will be sufficient. We don't recommend the small box chain for men.

The second is the Flat Rolo which is 1.1mm wide and stronger then the small box. This chain also has a spring ring clasp and would be a very good choice to upgrade from the small box and should last a very long time for most men and women unless worn during physical activities such as sports where it may be pulled very hard and could still break, but with normal use it will be a very reliable and attractivelooking chain requiring no maintenance.

The third chain is the Square Weat and is 1.2mm wide. This is diamond cut for additional sparkle and a very classy look for both men and women while at the same time does not take attention away from the pendant itself. This is the strongest of the three pendant chains and has a durable lobster clasp. If pulled hard enough, it will still break of course as will most chains under 5mm wide or so, however it will take a lot of abuse. It has a deep woven pattern that does not grab the hairs around the neck and is very comfortable to wear.
